zombie bomp pinup

here's my contribution to "zombie bomb" a kick-ass anthology published by terminal press and art directed by evil geniuses rich woodall and adam miller. the book will feature over 50 writers and artists joining forces to bring you the baddest bunch of zombie stories ever unearthed. it's in full color and it'll drop in april 2010 at the boston comicon.

oh, and why a russian soldier zombie for my contribution?

why the hell not?

keyboard man poster

i had the incredible opportunity to design an illustration of the infamous keyboard man for happy cog studios. said image was used on their site to promote OK happy cog'aoke 2, THE karaoke competition at this year's SXSW festival. (yes, there are a lot of links in this post.)

i also designed a limited edition run of 3-color silkscreened gig posters (60 of each colorway) featuring keyboard man invading the fair city of austin. they're the oddball size of 10"x26" and will be available exclusively at the event.

carry on.

the fly poster

aaaaaaaand here's the third poster in my series for the colonial theatre's
"first friday fright nights"!

i haven't seen "the fly" since it came out and i can't wait to see if it's as nausea-inducing as i remember it to be (my vote for cringe-worthiest moment: the fingernails). at any rate, the screening takes place friday, april 2...if you're in the area, stop by the colonial for some good old-fashioned gore!

"be afraid. be very afraid."

high priestess tarot card

to celebrate the third anniversary of the ultra-cool superpunch blog, site creator/curator john struan organized a kick ass project: he asked 78 of his favorite artists to each illustrate a card from a tarot deck. he posted the first 18 cards today, and if they're any indication, the complete deck is going to rock when it's all finished.

i was lucky enough to be invited to participate in the project and took a crack at the high priestess. not being too familiar with tarot mythology, i did a bit of research and decided to vamp up this strong, mysterious woman and drop her into a grindhouse movie poster.

anyway, it was a blast to work on. keep your eyes peeled for the rest of the artists' cards as they debut over at superpunch!
