"nerdist" gig poster

i was contacted by chris hardwick a little while back to design a gig poster for his comedy tour.

you may recognize chris for his stint as co-host (with jenny mccarthy) of "MTV's singled out" in the late 90's, but it seems like nowadays, everywhere you turn, there he is.

from movies ("house of 1000 corpses"), to TV ("attack of the show", "chelsea lately", "the late late show", "the batman") to the internet
(nerdist.com, homebase to his insanely popular podcast), he literally
seems to do it all.

on top of all of that, he's also is part of an ongoing nerdist comedy tour. that's where this image comes into play; the illustration serves as a customizable gig poster that he can adjust when new shows come up.

chris was awesome to work with and basically let me run with my initial idea of having him dressed as a retro astronaut about to defend a distant planet against an invading force of insect aliens. how's that for trust?

Man, you weren't kidding about being slammed with freelance - that's awesome, man! I listen to the Nerdist podcast all the time - I'm pretty proud to own so much of your work and see it being pimped out for Chris, haha. Awesome job!
