nicktoons: avatar
it's nicktoons calendar time again! here's my take on aang from "avatar: the last airbender".
i'm kinda embarrassed to admit that i've never seen this show. everyone tells me how awesome it is. at any rate, it took a few passes for me to nail aang's youthful intensity. truth be told, i think i like my initial take better, but this is what we ended up going with.
ya win some, ya lose some.

The show is worth watching. Decent animation, interesting style; but some pretty solid stories as well. More depth than you'd expect from something purportedly targeted at kids.
The movie ... oh my no.
In this illustration, Aang looks like someone else that I've seen before, but I can't quite put my finger on who.
I'd love to see your initial take.
